1. I use a computer monitor with my switch. my goal is to be able to keep this, but still stream (obs) from the switch. would this be possible?
---Yes, you can do like that. It is possible. You can use the hdmi pass-through port to connect the computer monitor and USB3.0 connect to your computer to capture the video and audio to OBS for live streaming.
2. Will it work for xbox one slim and can i save the video? I see alot about obs software, must i purchase it as well?
---OBS is a free application so nothing to buy but this cannot record anything without a computer and a capture application of some kind. It should work with Xbox One, I haven't tried it with mine but I tried it with several other HDMI sources and they all worked fine.
3. can i use it on macbook?
---Yes, it can work on Macbook, but the audio setting of macbook is little complex because mac OS system, you can download the user guide file to learn how to set it up. Thanks.
